So, I've been wanting to join or start a knitting group for quite awhile now. I've recently found out that a few of the moms in Gracie's preschool class are knitters, too, so I invited them to join me at my house on Thursday for a little knitting sesh. I had 4 other knitters and a friend of mine whom I taught how to cast on and knit. It was fun! I didn't get much knitting done, but it was great to talk to other knitters and show them the projects I was working on.
It was so funny. I have 2 small bins of yarn, and one of the girls said, "Oh my gosh! This is your stash? My husband would kill me!" I then showed her my closet full of the rest of the stash. ROFL! Her jaw dropped!
We're going to try to meet on a semi-regular basis, and then maybe continue on next year. We got together while the kids are in school, so Maddie was there, and there will be another little one she can play with.
I also just realized that I need to get cracking on Gracie's mermaid. Her birthday is in TWO WEEKS! ACK!!!

Oh I wish I lived closer Gebba. I'd love to do a knitting group. I like seeing what others are working on and getting some insight on things. Know what I mean?
